The trick to beating Adwords is to give Google what they want as opposed to trying to do your own thing. Obviously if you give the tiger its meat, it won't come after you… Anyways, a lot of people wonder how they can rank quickly with adwords or get really high score. There are a couple of different methods you can actually do to pull this off but there is one method to beating adwords' relevancy score that I would like to discuss right now, and that is… Bidding High to Rank Quickly. So, when using this strategy, your method would look something like this: 1. You find your keyword or keyword group for whatever topic or niche you're talking about. You will put them into an ad group that is relevant to the ad you write. 2. When writing your ad, make it as relevant as possible, and make sure to include the keyword(s) in the ad at least twice total. 3. Now, when you come to the minimum CPC page, pay really high for something that you could get for low. If you're not sure what to go with, bid 40 cents or more, and go with that. I usually go with 40 cents, and if my ad isn't in the top 5 ads of the first page for the term, I'll go back and raise the minimum. Please realize two things: 1) Using this method, you will pay a lot at first. It can be expensive using this method, so only do this with like one campaign at a time, and … 2) Unless there isn't a lot of competition, you'll probably have to pay even more for the number one spot of a keyword. I think this method really is the best way to get great quality score, a quick burst of click-thru's and first page rating. Using the aforementioned technique, you should be some of the best traffic you can get from google. Of course, that is only half the battle. You can also lower your CPC using this method, too, and here's how: As your ad gets displayed over and over, and your CTR goes up, your CPC will inevitably go down. As it goes down, you may get the urge to lower it. Do Not lower it right away, because then you will lower your position. I would say to lower if there is about 25 cents between what your minimum bid is and the CPC is. Then lower the minimum bid by about 5 cents. And do this every week or other week, just depending on how fast it goes down. Hopefully, now you stop taking an adwords beating, and put your campaigns into Overdrive!
